Juris Doctor degree from the Cleveland Marshall College of Law in 1991. He earned a B.A.
degree in English from Kenyon College and a Masters Degree in Hospital Administration from
Saint Louis University. Prior to becoming a member of the Ohio Bar, Mr. Costa served in
various administrative roles in both acute and long term health care settings. From 1985
to April, 1999, Mr. Costa held the dual title of Executive Director of Development and
later General Counsel for a locally-owned chain of nursing homes.
Mr. Costa’ s knowledge of the long term care industry encompasses employee
relations, Medicare/Medicaid compliance, capital development, creditor rights and risk
management. Mr. Costa became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in November,
